Mug Bugs

I have just finished "Mug Bugs" with Sweet Plum fabrics. Now I can't wait to take it to my next quilting day (with mug, spoon, biscuits, etc).
P.S. I think I'll make another one.........

I've Been Playing

I've been playing with fabrics from Lynette Anderson's new Christmas range (instead of getting the tea ready!).
It will probably be a little wall hanging - a long skinny one.
That's all for now,
P.S. I really need to be inspired - any ideas?

Little Creatures

Once again, I have used Cottage Garden variegated threads to stitch these cute little bugs and critters - they go together, with the help of a jelly roll, to make a small quilt.
 Details are on my website.
All my patterns are also available on ebay and etsy.
Here is a (not very good) photo of the finished quilt.
Buzz buzz,
P.S. The critters really have me hooked on the Cottage Garden threads!

Lots of New Designs

Lots of photos - all these new designs are on my website.
Above is "Miniscule" - a cutting ruler satchel that holds both a 24" and a 12" ruler. The little pic shows the ladybird pocket on the back of the satchel - this holds the 12" ruler. Included in the pattern are instructions for a rotary cutter bag. I have used Cottage Garden variegated threads to stitch the little bugs and critters.
Below is "Snail Pace", a simple little stitchery wall hanging.
"Bluebird", below, is an appliqued bird with embroidered flowers. I have given instructions for the needleturn applique using a product called Mylar, which is a heat-proof plastic sheet. It takes the stress out of needleturn applique!
More bugs stitched on the pockets of this mug bag, which could double as a sewing bag. It carries your mug safely to your sewing group, and use the pockets on the outside for your tea bags, teaspoon or sugar sachets. Or pop your needles and threads in them, and your sewing inside the bag!
Happy stitching!
P.S. I know you'll love stitching the bugs!

Bits and Pieces

I was sent this photo of my design "Bears in the Woods" made up in blues - stunning! It's a great little wall hanging - I don't know who made this one so if it is you, please let me know!
Now for the eerie photos.........
These are images of (no, not images from The Twilight Zone) hand-dyed fabrics which are the result of a workshop at the home of my friend Tiramisue.
Can you see the creepy figures and faces?
Most unintentional!
P.S. Can't wait for my next Dabble with Dyes"!!!!
