Coffee Morning at The Patchwork Tea House

I've had a lovely couple of days this week - Thursday afternoon was spent with Lesley at Foothills Fabric & Threads, in Tecoma, where I sat in with a group of ladies doing a class. Half were beginning Teddy Bear Tea Party, and the others were working on A Teddy Bear Christmas. As both patterns are made using the same techniques, I thought it was a great way of combining the two groups. Conversation, laughter, tea, coffee and yummy passionfruit sponge - thanks Lesley, for a great afternoon! And look what I found there - tape measure fabric! I'm sure I'll find a use for it!This morning - another coffee morning! But this time David and I met Mark & Rachael at The Patchwork Tea House in Warburton. A lovely morning lingering over a cuppa and a chat. Marilyn and Gary offer good old fashioned service - always a welcoming smile as you walk through the door! They do delicious light lunches as well - what a delightful way to finish off a hard morning's shopping, searching for that elusive piece of patchwork fabric!!!!!

Wind Storms

I have the cleanest fridge in Australia! No more out of date bottles or jars of unidentifiable foodstuffs, and nothing growing or alive! I spent last Friday morning giving it a Spring clean (even though it's Autumn!) and no, I'm not particularly obsessive about housework!
This all came about because of those ferocious wind storms that most of Victoria endured - our power was off from midday Wednesday to Friday brekky time - needless to say, we lost all our frozen foods, and most of the bits and pieces in the fridge were better off in the garbage! So off to the shops to re-stock!

I have just finished a little Christmas wall hanging - it will probably be published in the Christmas Special issue of Patchwork & Stitching - I'll let you know and in the meantime, here is a photo.

I love my computer - while doing this blog I'm also talking to my son Mark on Messenger - he wants to know if we want fish & chips for tea. So I won't have to cook tonight! He and his wife Rachael live not far from us - they'll be here in about 20 minutes! Lovely!

Springtime

No, it's not Spring here in Australia, it's Autumn!
"Springtime" is the title of this little wall hanging - it will be published in the September (Spring) issue of Australian Patchwork & Stitching. It's easy to make, an ideal gift for someone special!
Now I'm busy creating two new designs - one is to do with sewing, and the other is a cot quilt - very cute! Wait and see!
